My name is Tammie Bowyer, and I was born and raised in Niceville. My husband, Kevin Bowyer, and I have been married for over 29 years and we have 3 amazing children, Davis 24, Nicklaus 20, and Lillie 14. Over the past 20 years, I have dedicated my career to Early Childhood Development and Education, having worked in this capacity at various levels including teacher and director, most recently as the Director of Jacobs Ladder Pre-School in Destin. I personally feel that every child has a God-given gift and a purpose, and I take it personally to help each child find their passion.
While I understand that parents need childcare, my deepest desire is to have a school that is not just your typical daycare. 85% of a child’s brain development happens before the age of 3, 95% happens before the age of 5. So it is very important to provide an environment that allows a child to explore, investigate, succeed, and even fail to learn how things work. It is also important that we create an environment that allows children to learn to love God and others.
At Stepping Stones Early Learning Academy, we partner with parents to allow them to go to work, knowing their child is loved, cared for, and nurtured in a safe and stimulating environment.
